Springfield, MA – High Income Optometrist Job with Well-Regarded Private Ophthalmology / Optometry Group.  This is a very collegial, friendly team of doctors and staff.

Our private MD/OD group has been in business for over 50 yearsWe are growing and we are recruiting an optometrist to join our well-established practice in Springfield, MA. 

This is a rare opportunity due to increasing demand for patient access and care in Western Massachusetts. Our practice features a collaborative MD/OD model, with three exceptional anterior segment comprehensive MDs and one outstanding, highly-skilled, residency-trained OD. We pride ourselves on a supportive and kind culture that values teamwork and the quality of care we provide to every patient.

Our providers are supported by knowledgeable, compassionate technicians and assistants who perform full patient work-ups. We have state-of-the-art equipment on-site including: HVF, OCT, OPD, Nidek AFC-300 and Lenstar. In addition to our Anterior Segment Ophthalmologists, we have access to other eye specialists including Retina and Oculoplastics, located directly across the hall in the same medical building.  

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our growing team! This optometrist will provide comprehensive eye care examinations that include the diagnosis and treatment plans for patients of all ages. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday with no evenings and no weekends. However, if you’re a talented OD looking for a flexible schedule or part-time work, we’d like to talk with you as well.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct thorough, comprehensive, dilated eye exams
  • Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and vision aids
  • Educate patients on proper eye care and health
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EHR (ModMed)
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed

Qualifications: 

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid MA Optometry license
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
