Great Optometrist Job in Erie, Pennsylvania.   This is a high earning opportunity for a productive, efficient doctor who has excellent chair side manner.  You’ll see a mix of Primary and Medical Optometry.  We will consider new grad ODs.

We are an established Ophthalmology / Optometry practice affiliated with a large teaching hospital.  We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye and vision care, including routine eye examinations, diagnosing and treating vision problems and eye diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses.  Additionally the incoming Optometrist will provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.  This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for promoting eye health.

Your Role on Our Team

-Be as busy as you want to be.  Can see 20-40 patients per day, depending on your workload desire.

-Tech help.  You’ll get plenty of support staff help.

-You’ll have a say in the ratio of primary care : medical optometry work you do.  We are looking for the best OD match and can accommodate you.

-No nights or weekends.

-Monday through Friday, 40 hour per week position but may consider a 4 day work week option.

-Sign on Bonus of $15K along with relocation reimbursement.

Additional Role Information

– Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and detect eye diseases or abnormalities
– Diagnose and treat eye conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and glaucoma
– Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids based on patient needs
– Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery
– Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and the importance of regular eye exams
– Stay up-to-date with advancements in optometry and integrate new technologies into patient care
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary to ensure comprehensive patient care
– Maintain accurate patient records, including diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress notes
– Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, standards, and policies
– Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness
