Great Ophthalmologist Job Opportunity in Erie, Pennsylvania with a well-known healthcare system. Step into immediate volume position as a surgeon is retiring. This is a high earning opportunity for a productive, efficient Cataract Surgeon who has excellent chair side manner. We’ll consider Glaucoma and Cornea Surgeons too.
We are an established Ophthalmology / Optometry practice affiliated with a large teaching hospital. We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Comprehensive Ophthalmologist / Cataract Surgeon for our team. The opening is available as one of our surgeon’s is retiring. You’ll see immediate, high volumes in this position and receive many internal referrals from 40+ providers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases, such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
- Perform surgical procedures, such as cataract extraction, LASIK, and corneal transplantation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient visits and treatment.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in ophthalmology through continued education and research.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven work experience as a Ophthalmologist or similar role. We will consider new grad MDs/DOs.
- Fantastic manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and visuospatial awareness
- Superb organization and time management skills
- Excellent decision-making skills and communication
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to make patients feel at ease
- Great management and leadership skills
- Board Certified / Board Eligible
